Tinie Tempah’s album, Disc-Overy, has been long overdue now but thanks to two smashing singles (Pass Out and Frisky) it will have been worth the wait when it drops on October 4th 2010. But just before that happens, he has treated us to another single, Written in the Stars.
Like many other artists, after a few club bangers that were guaranteed chart success, Tinie decided to drop a song with some heart felt lyrics illustrating his rise and struggle from the bottom:
“I needed the change, when we ate we never tipped cause we need the change”
“I needed a break, for a second I even gave up believing and praying”
For those who only knew of Tinie from Pass Out, Tinie has been in the music game for a very long time. Long before mainstream success, he was on Channel U aged just 17, with the underground hit Wifey.
Tinie has definitely come a long way and it looks like his success was indeed Written in the Stars! Check out the new chart topper below:
